In the past, I kept an eye for what might be the next best equipment for my mini home gym. If I wasn’t keeping an eye, those long TV commercials would pop up (not only on the shopping channels) but on almost any channel, bombarding you with before and after photos of real people who used the equipment and lost weight or got fit. It made it very tempting to want the exercise equipment there and then, and I must admit I was often hooked and reached for my wallet. The good news is that I used them when I bought them and did lose weight and got fit. The bad news? I would use them within the first year and begin to look for something new at the end of year one or even after 6 months. But you could also look at it from another angle, it’s not necessarily a bad thing to want a new exercise equipment after 6 months or one year, variety is always good – it’s nice to change things up once in a while.
So, I came across one of this year’s favourites, the MaxiClimber:

The whole idea behind this exercise equipment is that it mimics the movements you make when climbing a mountain – making exercise more fun than grueling. In return you get toned shapely arms, rock hard abs, a beautiful bottom and leaner legs, with MaxiClimber.

I think it’s a brilliant idea! It may look difficult but it’s rated as a low impact which means it’s suitable for everyone – no age or height restrictions here. However, max weight you’d need to be is 110 kg (240 lbs). I like this very much and think it could get even the laziest person to want to exercise because it looks fun. It’s all about building up slowly. Start at your own pace and go up from there.

The exercise equipment is also said to be a great alternative to jogging, running or hiking, and works your entire body in one go.
