Lose Weight On A 1200 Calorie Nigerian Food Diet

If you’re African, especially Nigerian, you would already know how difficult it is to count your calories and lose weight. Because Nigerian foods are little known worldwide, mostly loose, unpacked or unmeasured, the amount of calories and fat content in some foods are unknown. This can make it difficult for me as a Nigerian to enjoy every Nigerian food whilst making sure that I keep to a healthy calorie count and loose weight or at least not gain weight.

After some research on this subject that weighs down every Nigerian woman I know, I found many suggestions out there. Some avid Nigerian bloggers have come up with great ideas for how to loose weight or cut down on calorie intake, while living on a menu they have carved out. It’s better than nothing and worth a try! If it works for you, stick with it, and if it doesn’t well, remodel it, do it your way until you see changes on your weighing scales within a-day period. Like on any diet, give it a 7-day period for results, and if you see none, then you know it’s not working. Keep in mind that results are not only measured on the scales, measure your body using a good tape measure because some people may have inch loss but see nothing or very little on the scales.

As with any other diet, make sure to include some daily exercise along with your low calorie diet for best results. Make sure to check with your physician as well before beginning any exercise. Here is the 1200 calories Nigerian Meal plan that can help you shed up to 2LBS per week.
